Creating an innovative environment in total quality management system within companies AgEcon

The decision for development of the quality providing system could go in line with the company’s expansion and with the concept of the total quality management (TQM). The most diligent-untouchable assets within the companies are referring to the relation with the customers/consumers, employee’s skills and their knowledge and building an organizational culture tending towards innovations, problem solving and total working promotion. The paper discusses attitude of companies in Macedonia to promoting employees’ motivations to knowledge sharing and innovations.

Do Leader and Organizational Characteristics Affect Scientist's Productivity? A Multilevel Analysis of Nigerian Agricultural Research System AgEcon

Organizations offer employees with opportunities to cultivate their innovativeness and facilitate greater productivity. In this paper we analyze preconditions for individual productivity of agricultural researchers in Nigeria, measured in terms of the self-reported number of scholarly publications and technologies produced; presence of external collaborators; number of dissemination events for publications produced; and perceived adoption level of technologies developed. It utilizes a multilevel analysis to systematically examine what characteristics of individual scientists and organizations promote greater individual productivity. VALORES DA CULTURA ORGANIZACIONAL INSTITUCIONALIZADOS NO PROCESSO DE CONSTITUICAO DA ESAL (1892–1938) AgEcon

The aim of this paper is to analyze the values that characterize the organizational culture institutionalized in the constitution of the Escola Superior de Agricultura de Lavras (ESAL) from the institutionalist theory. The school gets its name in 1938 but was founded in 1908, when the Rev. Samuel Rhea Gammon decided to create a school that could teach agriculture to the region’s youth. The history of ESAL was based on written documents, such as personal diaries, biographies and guest books, which became part of its institutional memory.
